Rough Bisalp Recovery – Need Some Reassurance

I had my bisalp done on July 6th and I also got my IUD out too on the same day, but I’m still in a good amount of pain.

I’ve seen some improvement from the day of my surgery, like getting out of bed isn’t as bad as it was, and neither is walking. However, I’m still in a good amount of pain. It still hurts to bend over, I get winded easily, I feel like my uterus is constantly cramping. My incisions are super painful still. I was very constipated for the first two days, but i’ve seen some improvement in that today. I also have been bleeding on and off, I can’t tell if its my period, a result of the surgery, or my body being confused about being off of hormonal birth control for the first time in seven years.

Apart from that, I feel very thankful to have been able to get this surgery done at such a young age and with full coverage from my insurance. I am in pain but simultaneously the happiest I’ve ever been. For those of you who had Bisalps done, was your recovery similar to this? I guess I’m just a little paranoid about something being wrong, since everyone I’ve seen who has gotten the surgery in this community seems to have bounced back within 2 days post op.

Also, side note: incisions are not positioned how I expected. I don’t necessarily mind this, but I find it odd that instead of having one towards each hip and in the belly button, I instead have one in my belly button, one on my left hip and one on my bikini line, straight down from the belly button. Did anyone else get incisions like this?
